Ir takes place in Market Square and in addition to being a market selling the very best of local - particularly organic - produce from the immediate vicinity of Kineton is also an opportunity for the village to come together, have a chat, find out what's going on and generally celebrate the joys of Kineton. There is always great music at the Farmers Market, usually provided by our friends, Donald McCombie and Keith Finlay of the Silver Bough Band.  There's usually something else going on whether itís the Adderbury Morris Men, maypole dancing or singing from pupils from the primary school, or a chance to say hello to Andy and Joy Tuffin's geese and lambs.

Kineton Farmers' Market in short, is about conviviality for young and old and people in between. And there's always beer or cider (properly licensed!) to help us enjoy the day.  Very often a morning event does become an afternoon, too, Kineton Wildlife Group taking over for an afternoon walk and/or (thanks to Brian and Daphne Lewis) with the opening up of the Pittern Hill windmill.

marketThe Market is entirely independent and non-profit making. It is able to successfully run and meet its costs (primarily the very heavy costs of a Stratford District Council licence) because its organisers put in time and energy voluntarily and claim no expenses for travel, printing and promoting the Market. Posters as always designed by Caroline Ward.  The organisers also would like to acknowledge the regular help of Chris Mills, Nick Gunn and Alan Scorer in setting up; St Peter's Church, the Methodists and Kineton Sports and Social Club for the use of their tables and the Parish Council for donations towards the maypole and a gazebo.
